Ernest Hemingway in London: a Guide

In the literary guidebook, ‘Hemingway in London’, we discover the places that Hemingway visited in London during the 1940s. The famous author was also a dedicated war correspondent, and in London he was briefed by RAF serviceman Roald Dahl, was in a car crash with his lover and soon to be fourth wife, journalist Mary Welsh, and attended parties with celebrated war photographer Robert Capa.

Hemingway stayed at the Dorchester, drank at The Savoy and was taken to St George’s Hospital - now the Lanesborough Hotel - following his car crash.
